Empowering Youth Through Career Guidance and Counselling

Choosing a career path can be one of the most significant decisions in a young person’s life. In today’s rapidly evolving world of work, young people require more than technical skills—they need guidance, mentorship, and the confidence to make informed decisions about their futures.

As part of the ongoing Skill Up! Project, trainees at Latia Agripreneurship Institute recently participated in a Career Guidance and Counselling session aimed at helping them navigate career opportunities, understand their strengths, and develop realistic plans for personal and professional growth.

The interactive session provided a platform for trainees to reflect on their aspirations, identify their talents, and explore various pathways available to them in employment, entrepreneurship, and further education. Through discussions and practical exercises, participants gained valuable insights into workplace expectations, goal setting, decision-making, and the importance of continuous learning.

Career guidance plays a critical role in preparing young people for successful transitions into the labour market. By helping trainees understand industry demands and align their skills with emerging opportunities, such sessions contribute to building a workforce that is not only competent but also adaptable and resilient.
